So, what did Dani gain from Barbizon Midwest?

"Barbizon taught me proper etiquette in auditions and in life. It also taught me what being a professional was all about. I started with Barbizon when I was 6 and it definitely shaped who I am as an actress."
- Dani Jayden

Currently still a working actress, Dani has an upcoming episode on the new Ricki Lake Show that is going to be airing November 28th on FOX at 12 PM central time. Now married, with a 7-month-old son, Dani is excited to have a PSA (Public Service Announcement) airing soon about Teen Pregnancy in which her and her son are starring!

Dani Jayden's words of wisdom:

"My advice to other Barbizon students is that if this is your dream and it's something your heart is  in 100%, never give up. There will be really tough times and you will question why you are still doing what you are doing... those are the times you need to work even harder and focus even more. Those moments are the ones that make you stronger."

Dani, thank you so much for your advice. You were a bright shining star as a child and still are to this day. Congratulations on all your success, as well as your beautiful family!

Don't forget to tune in and catch Dani on "The Ricki Lake Show" November 28th on FOX!

Barbizon Midwest 2011 Schaumburg graduate, Nicole Marie Dreger, spent the summer in the big apple at The New York Conservatory studying acting on scholarship she won from Barbizon. Now, she is proving to be quite the triple threat by making her mark in the music industry with her angelic vocals.

We recently asked Nicole about her Barbizon Midwest experience and here's what she had to say:

"Barbizon taught me many things. I learned how to properly do my nails and makeup, how to interact with people in an audition, and how to model (Print and Runway). It was a really fun experience!"

Nicole Marie Dreger
So what was your favorite memory, Nicole?

"I have way too many fun memories to pick one favorite, but my favorite activities were the photo modeling practice activities, and of course practicing our runway walks."

Nicole also has some sound advice for current Barbizon students and graduates:

"My advice to people trying to get into the industry would be to never give up on your dreams, no matter what other people might say or think. Don't let the haters get you down. And audition and expose your work as much as possible!"

Nicole has experience in promotional modeling and PR work for Barbizon, and recently auditioned for a movie! A dedicated and ambitious teenager, Nicole is constantly trying to market her music and acting through any media outlet.

Barbizon Midwest graduate Carolina Davis is a classically trained R&B/Pop/Soul Singer/Songwriter/Composer from Roselle, IL. Not only is this young artist a singer; she's a songwriter, composer, producer, actress, and model.

Growing up Carolina was surrounded by music. Her mother was a strong music lover and would play all types of music, which gained Carolina's attention. Being a person who kept to herself; she found music to be a way to express her feelings and to escape into her own world.

In 2008, Carolina flew to Los Angeles with Barbizon Midwest to compete at I.M.T.A (International Modeling and Talent Association). Competing in modeling, acting, and singing, Carolina gained the attention of Marc Williams from Indasoul Records. Together, they recorded a demo tape for "Be Free;" a song Carolina wrote and composed.

In 2010-2011, Carolina furthered her career and gained insight into the music industry as an intern for Onnie Music Record label in Chicago, IL. During this time Carolina recorded an album with producer Kenny Coleman.

Erica Barlament Strives to Save Lives

Erica Barlament
National American Miss Wisconsin Junior Pre-teen 2012
In a previous blog we wrote how Barbizon Midwest Wisconsin graduate Erica Barlament was crowned National American Miss Wisconsin Junior Pre-teen 2012.

Erica's Story
On November 7, 2003 a young couple, thrilled to hear their baby's heartbeat for the first time, decided to go shopping for the baby's nursery when tragedy struck. On their way to the store another car swerved and hit their car straight on. Miraculous the baby was fine and the mother survived with a few minor injuries, but the father was gone forever. Prior to the father's death he committed to being an organ and tissue donor and because of his generous spirit he was able to save the lives of over 50 people by donating his bones, heart valves, and veins.

Erica's Parents
Eric and Kari Barlament
On September 5 2003, what would have been the father's 30th birthday, his baby, Erica Barlament, was born. Erica hopes to carry on her father's unselfish nature by telling his story and encouraging others to donate life. This December Erica will participate in decorating the donate life float, which will be in the famous Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA. As the 2012 National American Miss Wisconsin Junior Pre-teen, Erica is doing her best to give back to her community.

Barbizon Midwest Reviews Theresa Croft!

Theresa Croft
Barbizon Midwest graduate Theresa Croft has been quite a busy lady lately. Currently a freshman at Columbia College Chicago dual majoring in arts management and theater, Theresa recently auditioned with Royal for a Disney XD pilot and another pilot for Cloud Nine. Theresa is also collaborating with an agency photographer for FORD Chicago and Factor Women. Woo... that's a lot! Still, she took some timeout to check in with us.

So, what do you do in your free time, if you have any?

I love playing tennis, doing yoga, and kickboxing. I live a very active and healthy lifestyle!

What is one of your favorite memories from Barbizon?

My favorite experience with IMTA New York was singing in front of the major record labels and professionals in the business. I met so many wonderful and talented people on my team, and got signed with MMG, which I will have more opportunities with them once I move to New York of LA in the future. My career is very important to me, and I can't wait to see what the future holds!

What do you have coming up in the industry?

I plan to attend an awesome opportunity at Simon Casting by participating in a Holiday cause called 'Meals for Monologues.' I will be featured as a make up model for Andrea Pomerantz Lustig on the Chicago CW channel on November 29th.

Do you have any advice for Barbizon students seeking a career in the industry?

If you truly set your mind to your dreams and goals, you will achieve them. Stay confident in yourself, be organized, be healthy, and learn as much as you can about the industry.

Thanks for taking the time to check in with us, Theresa! You seem to be on a great professional and educational track and we are so proud of you!
