Composer Carolina Davis' Soulful Sound

Barbizon Midwest's Carolina Davis
Barbizon Midwest graduate Carolina Davis is a classically trained R&B/Pop/Soul Singer/Songwriter/Composer from Roselle, IL. Not only is this young artist a singer; she's a songwriter, composer, producer, actress, and model.

Growing up Carolina was surrounded by music. Her mother was a strong music lover and would play all types of music, which gained Carolina's attention. Being a person who kept to herself; she found music to be a way to express her feelings and to escape into her own world.

In 2008, Carolina flew to Los Angeles with Barbizon Midwest to compete at I.M.T.A (International Modeling and Talent Association). Competing in modeling, acting, and singing, Carolina gained the attention of Marc Williams from Indasoul Records. Together, they recorded a demo tape for "Be Free;" a song Carolina wrote and composed.

In 2010-2011, Carolina furthered her career and gained insight into the music industry as an intern for Onnie Music Record label in Chicago, IL. During this time Carolina recorded an album with producer Kenny Coleman.

On May 6, 2012, Carolina was featured as "Artist of the Week" in the Project Fresh American Entertainment News, San Diego, CA. Carolina's lyrics are based on her personal life experiences and everyday people around her. "I want my music to be relatable. I like to paint a picture in the listeners mind," explains Carolina.



Currently, Carolina is touring the Chicago land area performing all her original material. She is currently working on an EP titled "Journey to the Sun." In 2013, she will be performing overseas at "The Festival" as the new artist to 5th Avenue Artist Agency based in Amsterdam.
